Job Description
Mayvin is seeking a Mid-Level IT Technician to assist the U.S. Marshals Service – Judicial Security Division. The Mid-Level IT Technician will coordinate with the other program area Project Managers and Senior Analysts to ensure problem resolution and satisfaction and make recommendations for approval/development of office systems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must ubdergo a background investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
- Configuration, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems such as desktops, laptops, printers, and any other desktop support or any relevant work requiring a physical touch
- Perform computer or some network devices "Break/Fix" and simple to complex installation, add, or change requirements of peripherals and device drivers
- Assists with strategically developing and enhancing Judicial Security and Information System (JSIS) and Capturing migration requirements
- Responsible for gathering SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online migration requirements, ensuring security groups, personnel, and system permissions and accounts are accurately identified.
- Serves as a Technology Solutions Center customer technical analyst responsible for resolving complex customer problems. Profiles and accounts
- Ensures the Office of Security Systems has continuous access to the Infrastructure Maintenance Management System (IMMS), ensuring vendors and customers can access the system 100% of the time
- Provide expert advice on hardware requirements, including processor, memory, and HDD requirements for specific JSD program office system processing requirements
- Ensure the USMS technical refresh program accurately aligns with 94 nationwide JSD district offices, ensuring remote site users can connect to USMS JUTNET to accomplish background investigations,
- Communicate project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers
- Manage and maintain JSD-purchased software licenses
- Assists with procuring specialized GOTS/COTS software products to aid the Office of Protective Investigations (OPI) gather real-time, open-source information about judicial personnel and facility security
- Responsible for maintaining OPI-OSINT access to Dataminr, SkopeNow, and Signal NC4 platforms for intelligence-gathering functions
- Provide UI/UX design consultation for SharePoint sites based on prior experience in web development
- Assist JSD and Tactical Operations Division (TOD) with Verato platform personnel training, and system access is aligned to ensure Court Security Officer (CSO) and security guard employment background checks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software
- The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
- Patient, friendly demeanor with a great aptitude for listening
- Exhibit a high level of confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Government Agency experience; Financial Services and Technical experience; Master’s degree; Ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues
