The Automotive Brand Innovation Lab is Amazon's custom prototyping and development team for auto brands and their advertising agencies. We focus on the conception and execution of branded custom experiences across Amazon properties. The Manager of Solutions Management will lead a team of Solutions Managers and Senior Solutions Managers (SMs) to scope, pitch and execute one-of-a-kind campaigns. The Manager will coach SMs on program management skills, support escalations, and help the team navigate never-been-done-before situations. The Manager will also work closely with creative and technical peers within the Brand Innovation Lab and other partner teams (e.g., Alexa, IMDb, Fire TV, Prime Video, Twitch). The Manager will create and improve mechanisms used by the Automotive Brand Innovation Lab to forecast and report on capacity, project timelines, campaign performance, and more. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, agile leader with experience building and motivating teams to deliver bar-raising results for advertisers.
Key job responsibilities
Hire, manage and develop a group of geographically distributed Solutions Managers and Senior Solutions Managers.
Apply bigger picture thinking (e.g., efficiency, availability, operability, scalability, business goals, customer experience, resources) to all advertising customer requests and deliverables.
Identify patterns and discover solutions to improve project/process efficiency. Know what solutions exist elsewhere and how they can be connected.
Create and improve workflows to share campaign development information with creative and technical peers within the Automotive Brand Innovation Lab, as well as with sales account teams, internal product teams, and leadership.
Own program communication and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.
Oversee team's Salesforce and Asana systems for data quality and output.
Partner with the BI team to optimize and utilize data and tracking mechanisms so that the team is looking far enough ahead that Pod leadership can ask for incremental headcount or share resources across pods.
Foster internal relationships both on an individual level and on behalf of the Automotive Brand Innovation Lab.
Operate as a strategic leader within the Automotive Brand Innovation Lab; be "the voice" of the Solutions Management function and apply knowledge and insights to long-term strategy and goals.
