MANAGER, OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Manager, Operational Technologywith OT experience as it relates to analysis, design, and application management in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!
Role Summary:
The Manager, Operational Technology role is responsible for the Vendor & Application management of a portfolio of applications within the OT area. This will include but not limited to implementation of departmental process improvement changes, oversight and collaborative management of the Operational Technology Domain, and leading cross-functional department projects.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implementation / Administration
    • Project Implementation - Responsible for project delivery of Buckeye's Operational Technology environment, delivering end-user requirements and ensuring design documents for the changes are maintained. Approve project plans developed by the project team and assist with Change Management. Ensure all deliverables and key controls are met to include scope, schedule, and budget.
    • Application Owner - Responsible for assigned applications and managing systems interfaces. Supervise work of direct reports of supported Operational Technology software/hardware. Prepare and report road mapping to the department director.
    • Budgets - collaborates and helps maintain department, automation rent and project forecast budgets.
    • Operational Technology Group - assist in the design and development of Asset Life Cycle Management, Standards & Procedures, Security improvements and implementation as well as training and awareness. Implements and enforce policies, standards and procedures across all Operational Technology software/hardware.
    • CISA Advisory Committee - supports and oversees the CISA Advisory Committee.

  • Support

  • System Maintenance - Oversee the maintenance of OT applications, systems, and technology.

    • Vendor Liaison - Maintain vendor relationships for enhancements or new vendor applications. Meets with Vendor, contractors, 3rd parties to eveluate and prepare metrics reports.
    • Documentation - Owns responsibility for implemeting, enforcing and keeping process documentation up to date.
    • On-Call Support - Schedules On-Call Support, properly handles escalations, and escalates to Director as necessary.
    • Testing - collaborate and support the OT Architect with the testing of multiple Operational Technology system upgrades before releasing them to the Buckeye Business and provide recommendations for system upgrades and enhancements.
    • Customer Service - Providing exceptional customer service.
    • SOX/Compliance - Monitor, perform and document processes and system internal audits. Monitor and conform to all SOX Compliance mandates.
    • Training - Be familiar with and be able to deliver training for new users on Operational Technology systems and for all users on updated Operational Technology systems. Understand and disseminate training plans for systems throughout the company.
    • Process Improvements - Manage direct report(s) responsible for improving processes. May involve leading cross-functional departments.

  • People Management

    • Manage Leads and Analysts to assure their teams successfully manage roadmaps, budgets, and forecasts for assigned applications and system environments for appropriate business segments.
    • Works with direct reports on mentoring soft, strategic, and technical skills.
    • Provide technical knowledge to co-workers for problem solving.

  • And other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Degree - Desired - Management Informational Systems, Computer Science or Business
  • 1-3 Years of supervisory experience leading teams or demonstrated leadership abilities and related experience.
  • 5+ Years of progressive experience in Operational Technology: Automatioon, Process Control, DCS and applicable OT Domain.
  • Experience in the following is preferred: Toptech TMS, mySQL, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL, Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interface, Operator Interface Panel, Refined Petroleum Load Rack Controllers (MultiLoad, AccuLoad), Client Server technologies and browser-based applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.

Essential Functions
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.

Physical & Safety Requirements
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e., a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
