Location: Long Beach, Los Angeles, CA

Company: NDA required.

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time job but there is the possibility to do half of this job from your home office once you are trained with the company. 

We are seeking an experienced METRC Compliance Officer to join our team. As a leader in the cannabis industry, we are dedicated to providing the highest-quality cannabis products while adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance (METRC) system and California cannabis regulations. Responsibilities:

- Oversee the management and maintenance of our METRC system, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, reporting, and compliance with state regulations
- Stay current with California cannabis regulations and industry best practices to guarantee our operations remain compliant
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to METRC and regulatory compliance
- Train and educate employees on METRC processes, cannabis regulations, and company SOPs
- Perform regular internal audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of required compliance reports to the California Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC)
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, coordinating with inspectors and providing necessary documentation
- Manage inventory control procedures to prevent discrepancies, diversion, or loss of cannabis products
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the business are compliant with applicable regulations
- Regularly report to management on the status of compliance and any issues that may impact the business

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance role within the cannabis industry
- Proficiency with the METRC system and California cannabis regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
