We are now in the New Jersey area working with a local utility. We have been tasked with upgrading all their customers’ electric meters (over 2,300,000) to the more efficient Smart Meter.

- Perform upgrades on Assigned Electric Meters which entails removing the current meter, installing the new meter and performing a final check for quality
- Utilize and update CCI handhelds to track progress
- Adhere to CCI Quality Standards, do it right the first time
- Meet and strive to exceed production requirements
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Interact professionally with Customers, Management and Peers
- Consistently follow all Safety rules, with ZERO incidents
A few REQUIREMENTS for a Meter Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully complete pre-employment screenings
- Have a verifiable work history
- Ability to work with technology and various software
- Must have the ability to pay attention to details
- Present a neat / clean appearance
- Must be comfortable talking in a professional manner with customers
- Physical abilities to withstand all kinds of weather while completing tasks
- Comfortable walking up to four miles a day at a steady pace in steel toed boots
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs.

We offer competitive pay to our Meter Technicians. We will start you at $27.57 per hour with a Union benefit package! Pay increase to $30.36 after 12 months of employment!
