Accountant/Controller

Job Description

GP Motor Company is seeking an Accountant/Controller to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the financial processes of GP Motor Company. This includes the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing the results of the company’s financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance and a passion for helping small businesses.

Essential Functions:

• Verify accuracy of costs and expenses entered by various departments within the dealership
• Ensure receipt of payment for vehicle sales
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including key performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Prepare forecasts and analyze results to identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform monthly analysis of costs and revenue to identify trends and establish goals for future performance
• Prepare financial analyses to help with business planning and strategic planning
• Prepare reports on various aspects of the company’s financial performance, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profit/loss
• Manage the process of accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure proper payment processing
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
• Ensure timely payment collection for all accounts payable departments
• Manage payroll for all departments; ensure timely processing of payroll each month by GP Motor Company. Ensure timely payment collection for all taxes due each month as well as any additional payroll taxes that may be due on a monthly basis. Ensure timely posting of payroll to the appropriate government agency.

Education: 4 year degree in Accounting

Experience: 5+ years of direct experience completing a variety of accounting functions for small and medium sized businesses.

3+ years of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
