We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing activities and related services to meet with the social and recreation needs of residents in an assisted living setting. Your role will involve creating an environment that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Prepare a monthly calendar that meets the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of our residents.- Plan and implement a variety of recreational activities, events, and outings for independent and assisted living residents. - Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of activities.- Assess residents' interests and preferences to tailor activities accordingly.- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.- Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized care plans are followed.- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Take measures to contain costs and stay with-in budget.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar setting is highly preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
