Role and Responsibilities
The primary function of the Merchandising Strategy Manager is to responsible for defining new Merchandising Strategy and lead conversations with cross-functional partners to drive the overall look and feel of Samsung retail experiences. Partnering closely with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, this position champions Samsung's Customer Journey to create customer experiences that translate into brand loyalty and sales. The Strategic Merchandising Manager will develop and present merchandising solutions to executive team members merchandising in relation to key product launches and promotional periods.
  • Partner with product teams and GTM to drive the strategy, profitability and accuracy in product range to space allocation, and continually innovate Merchandising Strategy to support the needs and growth of the business.
  • Manage and drive product prioritization to be used in the visual storytelling and planogram creation.
  • Develop Merchandising Strategy and gain leadership and cross functional partner alignment
  • Identify merchandising gaps and seek out solutions with cross-functional partners when needed.
  • Be subject matter expert on merchandising executions. Drive life-cycle activity taking current state to optimal future state representing Samsung brand and customer experience.
  • Responsible for creating strategic documentation and communications for presentations to leadership and partners
  • Establish and sustain key relationships with product and marketing teams as well as account/channel team leaders to understand their strategic business objectives to support merchandising initiatives.
  • Create efficiencies with existing processes, improving implementation in stores, and innovating merchandising.
  • Support special projects as assigned and product launch activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 6+ years of experience preferably in space planning, visual merchandising, or project management.
  • If no BS degree, 6-8 years of experience in space planning, visual merchandising, or project management.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in retail merchandising strategies
  • Experience building relationships with key internal and external cross-functional partners
  • Strong aesthetic, visual design, and presentation skills
  • Must have demonstrable experience in developing presentations using a variety of PC applications, including Word processing, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Space Planning and Floor Planning tools (i.e. JDA, One Door)

Skills and Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Space Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Operation experiences in corporate environment desired
  • Render Software experience preferred
