GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Provide assessment and treatment services; crisis intervention, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses; or develop and implement specific services in the community. Act as a task supervisor for interns and staff, provide clinical supervision to Mental Health professionals, to perform various advanced, specialized clinical and treatment services for individuals receiving services and their families.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work under the general supervision of a manager or supervisor, who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results for overall effectiveness. Per Oregon Health Authority, Behavioral Health Services Rule 309-019-0130: Program staff providing direct services shall receive clinical supervision by a qualified clinical supervisor related to the development, implementation, and outcome of services, documentation of two hours per month of supervision for each individual supervised.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Primary supervision of employees is not a responsibility of this classification; however, positions may act as lead workers, as defined in the Marion County Personnel Rules. May assist in the supervision of interns and volunteers.
- Provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and transition age youth in Woodburn and surrounding communities.
- Provides intake Mental Health assessments including screening for A/D issues.
- Documents services to meet contract, administrative rule and billing requirements.
- Expectation is that employee will strive for 30 hours per week to be scheduled with therapy, client support, committee work and approved training.
- Provides consultation, training and orientation regarding Mental Health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns and other professionals.
- Provides case management services to clients.
- Assists clients and families with accessing community supports/resources.
- Assists with making referrals for services.
- Other job duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- State of Oregon licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT); ANDMaster's degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, or a behavioral science field; OR
- State of Oregon licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT); ANDBachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; ANDOne year of postgraduate degree experience in the Behavioral Health field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- The finalist for this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check, including finger printing; however, conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual for this position.
- Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history. Marion County will obtain a copy of the driving record for all qualified applicants from Driver and Motor Vehicle Services and review the driving record according to the Marion County policy and procedure for Driving on County Business. - Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of community Mental Health concepts, chemical dependency case management, and treatment services; individual assessment, treatment planning, and treatment protocols; Mental Health disorders and diagnostic classifications.
Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, individuals and their families, other agencies, and the public; prepare concise and complete clinical documentation related to individual treatment and progress in services in a timely and professional manner; work within a team and collaborate with team members; knowledge of and ability to act professionally regarding a code of ethics and confidentiality.
- Up to $3,000 reimbursement of moving expenses
- Relocation bonus in the amount of $3,000 (prorated based on FTE) as a one-time payment upon proof of Oregon residency
- $3,000 bonus after six months of continuous employment
- $3,000 bonus after twelve months of continuous employment
