Mental Health Skill Building Counselor

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Skill Builders to join our team. As a Mental Health Skill Builder, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with Mental Health conditions. Your expertise and skills will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our clients.

Duties:
- Conduct individual sessions using evidence-based techniques such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and behavior management.
- Assist individuals in developing social skills and managing behavioral challenges.
- Provide direct support to clients in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for clients.
- Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment interventions.
- Implement crisis management techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of client care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in behavioral health or a related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child and family counseling techniques is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient computer skills for documentation purposes.

QPPMH: $23.00HR
