We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mental health Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medical Billing systems, coding, and terminology.
```Responsibilities```
- Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate billing and coding practices
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries
```Experience```
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Previous experience in Mental Health Medical Billing or a related field
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
- Familiarity with medical records management and collection practices
- Proficiency in using Medical Billing software/systems
