About HMH

As a holistic group practice for over 9 years now, we have been dedicated to providing the best service to the clients in our community. Our clinicians specialize in treating Anxiety, Trauma, Panic Attacks and Depression. Most of our clients are high functioning professionals or students struggling with anxiety, trauma or relationship issues. Being a holistic practice means we incorporate all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. We want our clients to not just scratch the surface, but to truly experience a transformation from the inside out. Trauma and anxiety are stored in the body and the cutting edge somatic interventions we are trained in help our patients experience results they would never receive from solely talk therapy. Our clinicians have to be passionate about helping their clients experience results and create a life free from the limitations of anxiety and trauma.

Great question. Our ideal candidate will be an Licensed Professional CounselorLPC and be a resident of New Jersey or New York. The candidate should be an organized and professional individual; they should have a strong sense of self, a willingness to learn and grow, and not be afraid to speak their mind on ideas, suggestions and ways to make our practice the best it can be. It’s important that you feel that we’re also the right fit for you. Bonus Item: We are seeing a big demand for clients looking for faith based counseling, so having a background of education in biblical counseling would be helpful for serving this population.

What’s the catch?

I know, right? It sounds too good to be true. Here’s the thing: You’re hearing from a team who gets it; we’ve been there. We understand that under other circumstances, work might make you feel overwhelmed, overburdened, burnt out !!! So when you’re not in a position to be your best self, how can you thrive in your work life ? This is why we place so much emphasis on BALANCE and SUPPORT. Our founder came from clinic settings where unmanageable caseloads and unrealistic expectations and quotas were placed on the clinician. She knew there had to be a better way. That’s why she has ensured that our Client Care Team, Billing team, and our Operations department work together to make sure your patient’s needs are met, as well as your own. Our clinical supervisors provide you with a safe space to discuss your concerns and feel empowered offering your feedback and resources during supervision. What we expect of you

As a team member here, of course we expect you to hold up your end of the bargain! Team members are expected to sustain a full caseload, submit progress notes within 24 hours of a session, respond to team emails on a daily basis ( not on Saturdays & Sundays, go have brunch) , keep an accurate record of your active clients and timesheet and maintain an organized calendar. While we provide you with tremendous support, we expect you to be an active part of our team as well. This means engaging in group supervisions, providing feedback to your team members if needed, and being transparent about your needs and your work life experience. Sometimes that means going the extra mile; this is how you can show up for HMH! For now we are a fully virtual New York & New Jersey Based practice. We do need to know that if that ever changes that you will be able to come into either our Staten Island or Central New Jersey Office, some of the time. We’re hoping it doesn’t change, as our therapists and patients seem to like it and we plan on staying fully remote, except for team celebrations and events.

Why HMH may not be for you..

Listen, full transparency; this job is not for everyone. While we mentioned what we expect you to do, we should fill you in on what we expect you not to do. Working at another private practice or hopping on board with the intention of not having a full caseload won't work for us. We are all in, when we bring someone onto our team and we expect you to be all in as well. Canceling clients last minute or the day of, not filling out your progress notes in a timely fashion, missing team meetings and supervision, entertaining any drama in the workplace and not following our team policies and protocols are all habits we do not condone. We understand emergencies happen; other than those circumstances, none of the above will be accepted. Communication is key; we couldn’t be offering more support, so use it! At HMH, we have spent a substantial amount of time ironing out our company policies and step by step procedures to ensure you have access to everything you need! So if you’re feeling inclined, staying within these guidelines should be a piece of cake :)

Alright, Deal or No Deal?

It's all fun and games until we talk numbers, right? This is where most people decide if they’re going to click apply. Don’t worry, we get it. HMH is happy to inform you that we offer competitive rates, as well as paid time off. Depending on your experience, your rate will be determined by our hiring manager. This position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to become full time within 1 - 3 months based on performance. You will start with one patient and build a caseload.

Other Added Bonuses

Right now, we are a virtual practice. You will be conducting your work from home until further notice. As a team, we like to meet in person every few months so we can enjoy team building activities and get to know one another. We always have a blast :)
