We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Memory Care to join our team. As the Director of Memory Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the care services provided to individuals with dementia. This is a leadership role that requires strong operational management skills and a deep understanding of leadership, activities and engagement and overall dementia care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of care providers, providing guidance and training as needed
- Manage the budget for care services, ensuring resources are allocated effectively
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in dementia care
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Handle any escalated issues or concerns related to care services
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the healthcare industry, preferably in assisted living or dementia care settings
- Strong knowledge of working with individuals with dementia and/or Alzheimer's
- Excellent budgeting and operations management skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and develop a team of care providers
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the healthcare industry
