Description
OVERVIEW:
As a licensed nurse at our community, you will assist with the comprehensive delivery of personal care services to residents on a day-to-day basis following required regulatory requirements. You will also assist in maintaining a physical, social and psychological environment, which will be conducive to the best interests and welfare of the residents
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Licensed LPN in good standing with State Licensing Authority
• Previous LPN experience in Assisted Living preferred
• Knowledgeable of State and local rules, regulations, laws and ordinances relating to licensed senior housing
• Able to supervise department employees using independent judgment and discretion
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community and State officials and general public
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks in order to accommodate fluctuating needs of the resident and Community
• Must have strong documentation skills
• Memory care experience required
• Ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care
• Must practice and promote Tequesta Terrace Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

• Conducts resident evaluations in a prompt and timely matter according to state regulations and Tequesta Terrace policies and procedures.
• Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of medication, including but not limited to; orders, administration, storage, documentation and as mandated by the State Regulations and Guidelines as well as Company policy and procedure.
• Assure that all resident care specialists are familiar with the residents' individual conditions and are trained to provide the resident services in an effective, professional, and sensitive manner.
• Monitor's resident wellness care for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Monitors and maintains vital statistics as required.
• Ensures in house ancillary services, such as x-rays, podiatry, dental, eye care, psych visits etc. are scheduled and the appropriate follow up is completed.
• Respond in a timely manner to requests of residents, families, and guests' programs.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, guests, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts.
• Able to make independent decisions.
• Must be able to communicate in a warm, friendly and caring manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Minimum Two (2) years in the senior living environment
• Strong leadership skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work in all areas of the community.
• Follow Safety Policy & Procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office and senior living environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
• Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
• Able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
• Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
• Able to talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information to residents and team members.
• Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and other conditions.
• Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection.
o Personal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoes.
• Subject to infectious diseases, substances, and odors.

The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

Salary Description
$27.00 - $29.00/hour
