POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Member Service Rep is responsible for providing Membership Services and performing customer service duties designed to make the members YMCA experience as pleasant as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Greet members in a pleasant manner
· Follow the dress code for the position
· Check members in and verify they have an active membership
· Provide general information on services and programs and conduct tours
· Sell and process memberships on the phone and in person
· Accept program registrations
· Receive money and receipt properly in Daxko; balance money transactions for shift and prepare deposit for the bank
· Answer telephone calls
· Be alert to safety factors and potential hazards
· Handle complaints and concerns and take appropriate action
· Assist in the lock up and opening of the facility and the overall supervision of the building
· Supervise and coordinate Birthday parties, lock-ins, and any other after hours activities
· Operate simple office equipment
· Keep front desk area orderly and attractive
· Attend all departmental team meetings
· All other tasks as assigned by designate

QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or General Educational Development Certificate (G.E.D.)
· General office experience and computer skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to work with the public under a variety of circumstances
· Current First Aid & CPR Certification
