Med/Surg Director of Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and directing unit staff involved in the provision of patient care within respective unit, including hiring and disciplining when necessary.
• The position assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for staffing, management, patient care, and service operation, serving as a role model for excellence in patient care.
• Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of Nursing practice and nursing services to identify areas of opportunity and to ensure nursing practice continually improves and impacts positively on patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure
• BLS and ACLS Certification
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in nursing preferred.
• Supervisory management experience required.
