Summary of Position:
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and implementing the Activities programs on both an individual and group basis. Such programs must be designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of each resident.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a recreational program in a health care facility.
- Licensed or registered by the state and certified or eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or completed a training course approved by the state.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and facility staff.
