Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant (Part-Time 20 - 25 Hrs/Week) Onsite

As the Data Management gate-keeper in our high-volume practice, you must be able to meet deadlines efficiently with accuracy, communicate in a clear consisted manner and work under pressure.

Main Responsibilities

• Accurately, timely and thoroughly document medical examinations, procedures and discussions according to the provider’s preferences.
• Double-check all mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and make corrections to reduce errors.
• Follow up on the progress of labs, imaging studies, and other patient data, and document and review laboratory and other test results in patient charts.
• Enter lab, x-rays/CT scan, MRI and prescription orders for providers via EMR.
• Performs and documents preliminary assessment of patients, such as measure vital signs, confirm current health issues, medications, medical history, demographic and etc.
• Prepares patients for examinations and set up procedure trays/instruments for treatment. Assist practitioners during medical procedures.
• Maintains the cleanliness/disinfection and orderly of exam rooms and other work areas.
• Performs all other tasks assigned by the office manager or providers.

Basic Qualifications

• Scribe and EMR Experience: 1+ years. Allscripts preferred.
• Strong knowledge in ICD-10 diagnostic coding.
• Ability to complete 35+ encounter notes per day on EMR in a timely and accurate manner.
• Medical Assistant experience: 1+ year preferred.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a MUST.
• Being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 is required unless for medical or religious exemption.

Work Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. (Total 20 - 24 hours)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
