As the Data Management gate-keeper in our high-volume practice, you must be able to meet deadlines efficiently with accuracy, communicate in a clear consisted manner and work under pressure.
Main Responsibilities
- Accurately, timely and thoroughly document medical examinations, procedures and discussions according to the provider’s preferences.
- Double-check all mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and make corrections to reduce errors.
- Follow up on the progress of labs, imaging studies, and other patient data, and document and review laboratory and other test results in patient charts.
- Enter lab, x-rays/CT scan, MRI and prescription orders for providers via EMR.
- Performs and documents preliminary assessment of patients, such as measure vital signs, confirm current health issues, medications, medical history, demographic and etc.
- Prepares patients for examinations and set up procedure trays/instruments for treatment. Assist practitioners during medical procedures.
- Maintains the cleanliness/disinfection and orderly of exam rooms and other work areas.
- Performs all other tasks assigned by the office manager or providers.
Basic Qualifications
- Scribe and EMR Experience: 1+ years. Allscripts preferred.
- Strong knowledge in ICD-10 diagnostic coding.
- Ability to complete 35+ encounter notes per day on EMR in a timely and accurate manner.
- Medical Assistant experience: 1+ year preferred.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a MUST.
- Being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 is required unless for medical or religious exemption.
Work Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. (Total 20 - 24 hours)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
