SalaryResponsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in documenting patient encounters by accurately transcribing medical information into electronic medical records systems.
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits and accurately document the details of the encounter, including medical history, physical examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters to support continuity of care and billing processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize workflow and ensure efficient documentation practices.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in typing and computer skills is essential for efficient documentation.
- experience in a medical office setting will be beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- familiarity with EHR
- Familiarity with Office Ally EHR a plus
- Knowledge and skill in using various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email, and database software.
- Knowledge of E/M codes and the level of documentation necessary to reach billing level preferred.
- Cerner and EPIC EMR experience a plus
- WPM 50+
