We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of the Clear Behavioral Health family, the Medical Records Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records across our 4 outpatient facilities, 1 inpatient residential detox, and mental health residential facility, primarily located in the South Bay. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills to ensure the seamless flow of information within our healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Record Management: Accurately and efficiently manage patient records, ensuring completeness, organization, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Data Entry: Perform precise data entry tasks to update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant databases.
- Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data security in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and information flow.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely access to Medical Records as required.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to identify and rectify discrepancies in patient records.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional courses or certification in Medical Records management is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in Medical Records management or a related field is preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated understanding and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
