General Summary:
The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for assembling patient information into patients’ Medical Records accurately and completely. Responsible for chart migration and administrative support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Scan records into the chart
- Filing into the EMR system.
- Prioritizing daily tasks, and responding in a timely fashion to urgent requests.
- Completes tasks correctly and accurately with attention to detail.
- Confidentially maintains information.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of Healthcare Administration experience
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with EPIC/APEX
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and positively, written, verbal, and via multi-lined telephone system
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction
- Possess excellent typing/keyboarding skills; knowledge of computer systems and applications.
