Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain patient Medical Records in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all Medical Records
- Retrieve and file Medical Records as needed for patient appointments and referrals
- Scan and digitize paper records into electronic health record systems
- Assist with data entry and updating patient information in the electronic health record system
- Process requests for Medical Records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Follow established procedures for record retention, storage, and disposal
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical record documentation
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems or similar software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
