General Duties of the Medical Receptionist:
1. Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
2. Maintains the reception area and waiting room.
3. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
4. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information
5. Proficient data entry
6. Proper patient check-in process
7. Checks multiple electronic verification systems to verify current health insurance coverage.
8. Referrals coordination (in and out)
9. Co-pay and account balance collections. Maintain daily log of monies. Prepare end of day statements.
10. Managing a high volume phone. Checking voicemails, emails and faxes
11. Assist clinical staff with chart preparation
12. Scanning
13. Faxing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
