Overview:
We are offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is fluent in Spanish and interested in pursuing a career as a Medical Assistant. We are seeking a Bilingual Front Desk Assistant who is interested in becoming a Medical Assistant.
Here's how it works: initially, you will receive training as a receptionist. Over a period of 2-3 months, you will gain valuable experience in administrative tasks, customer service, and office management. This foundational training will equip you with the skills necessary to excel in a medical office setting.
Once you have successfully completed the receptionist training, you will transition into a Medical Assistant Trainee . Building upon your receptionist skills, you will receive training in clinical procedures, patient care, and medical terminology needed for our cardiology setting. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn to assist healthcare providers in delivering quality care to patients.
It is important to note that we are not an accredited educational institution or a training center. We will teach the skills specifically needed for our work setting. These skills may not be easily transferable if you seek employment elsewhere or in another field.
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Duties: - Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members - Schedule appointments for patients using our electronic scheduling system ( eClinicalWorks) - Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date - Assist with medical billing tasks, including coding and submitting claims - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed - Manage the waiting area to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients Experience: - Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred - Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology - Proficiency in using phone systems and electronic medical record (EMR) software - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
