Responsibilities include (and may vary):
Check-in/check-out/medical records/pre-cert/scheduling
Accurate and detailed collection of patient demographic and insurance information
Obtaining and filing appropriate documents
Accurate data entry of patient info/insurance
Verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations
File insurance
Scheduling patients
Collecting co-pays/deductibles
Deliver contact lenses and collecting patients' balances
Open/close clinic
Requirements
Good communication and organizational skills
Good patient rapport/Good customer service skills
Possess basic computer skills and efficiently use the computer
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Interact well with Physicians, Management and all co-workers, as well as patients.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations
Compliance with coding and billing guidelines
Previous experience verifying insurance is an added plus
