We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain patient records and update medical history in electronic systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate efficient workflow
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
