Medical Receptionist And Records Clerk

Responsibilities:

1. Front Desk Operations:

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
• Manage communications: multi-line phone system, voicemail, patient portal messages

2. Patient Registration:

• Collect and update patient information accurately.
• Verify patient information and insurance details.
• Ensure completion of necessary forms and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Accurately process patient co-payments.

3. Administrative Support:

• Perform general office duties, such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning
• Assist with data entry and record maintenance.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.

5. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with medical staff and other team members.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Organize and maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Retrieve and file medical records as requested by healthcare providers and staff
• Respond to requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, and other authorized individuals or organizations
• Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and staff as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
