Summary
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for contributing to the overall workflow and professional presentation of the company in busy Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Engages in positive verbal and written communication (via telephone, email, in-person, etc.) with clients and fellow professionals. Offers assistance though problem solving and connection to the appropriate individuals and resources, while maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.
· Communicates the scope of services offered by the agency, and assists clinicians wishing to initiate the referral process by distributing necessary paperwork.
· Greets and initiates the paperwork process for new patients
· Data Entry tasks into Electronic Medical Record.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Completes other duties as necessary and as assigned.
· Takes part in business related travel and training as necessary and as assigned.

Physical Demands
In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
Supervision and Coordination of Services:
The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Executive Administrator. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate with other agency employees, as well as with multiple outside organizations and service providers in order to complete job duties.
Travel
Position requires employee to travel to and from the various locations of the organization as needed for trainings, meetings, and other events as necessary utilizing their personal vehicle.
Required Education and Experience
Associate of Arts (AA) degree and at least 3 years of experience in administrative position
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with at least 5 years of administrative experience
