Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing administrative support to the medical staff.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments

- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary

- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Proficiency in using Medisoft software preferred

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Experience with texting and emailing is necessary

- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals

We offer competitive pay based on experience. This is a part-time position. The schedule is Monday-Thursday with full days Mondays and Wednesday and 5 hour afternoon shifts on Tuesday and Thursday.
