Job Description Title: Medical Receptionist Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

A. Follows Patient Safety guidelines, organizational policies and procedures, professional standards of care, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to patient care quality.
B. Follows HIPAA & PHI guidelines related to patients care.
KR- 4: Administrative Duties
A. Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages
B. Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments
C. Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information
D. Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files
E. Coordinating daily office activities, greeting patients and checking patients in and out for their appointments
F. Handling point of sale, billing using cash, credit cards and checks and responsible for maintaining accurate drawer counts
G. Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
A. Minimum of a High School diploma; Associate degree preferred
B. At least one-year relevant training and/or experience
C. Electronic Health Record experience preferred
Qualifications & Requirements
A. Strong skills in the following areas: organization, multi-tasking, verbal, written, computer, problem solving
B. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

- We prefer someone with Medical Receptionist experience already. Do you have this experience and how many years? Please do not apply if you do not have at least 1 year expereince at a medical office front desk where your job responsibilities included insurnace verification, patient referrals, scheduling and prior authorizations.
- If your job history shows more than three consecutive years changing careers or jobs, please do not apply. We are looking candidates with stability in the job market with a good track record of duration in a position.
- Write a paragraph explaining your work history and how it pertains to scheduling patient appointments, checking patients in and out, insurance verification and customer service.
- The shift for this position is 11:45am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday once every 8 weeks. Can you accomodate?
