Job Description: Looking for a bilingual front office receptionist that is able to travel within our 3 office locations, located in Plantation, Tamarac, and Coral Springs
Responsibilities: FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: (This list may not include all of the duties that may be assigned).
· Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record.
· Performs a variety of audits and evaluations of patient information via EMR management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Provide documentation for use in legal actions and responds to subpoenas.
· Regularly communicates with managers and other health care professionals to clarify diagnoses or to obtain additional information regarding patient care.
· Receives incoming requests for information and responds to requests by opening mail, assisting walk-ins and telephone inquiries, and retrieving facsimile inquiries in a timely manner.
· Validates requests and authorizations for release of medical information according to established procedures and HIPAA guidelines.
· Completes release of information requests including retrieving patient’s medical charts and returning charts, copying/scanning medical records accurately and correctly, according to requests, established procedures, and established standards of quality and productivity; and electronically transmits medical record to processing operations.
· Prep and prepare all patients upcoming appointments by scanning all information from the original paper chart into the Electronic Medical Record System (EMR).
· Process any and all correspondence by scanning it to the health care professional for review.
· Must be detail oriented, organized and maintaining patient confidentiality as all times.
· This job requires someone who can work across department lines with professionalism.
· Performs quality checks on all work to assure accuracy of the release, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
· Maintains equipment in excellent operating condition (inside and out) and troubleshoot equipment issues with assistance from the Help Desk department. Provides excellent customer service by being attentive, respectful and professional at all times; insures understanding of customer request and follows-through as promised; being proactive in identifying and addressing member concerns, or problems.
· Demonstrates helpful and effective telephone etiquette and customer service skills by providing appropriate information to callers.
· Experience and knowledge of medical terminology gained from patient facing/patient services role.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service skills and telephone skills.
· Must have strong customer service skills and experience
· Must have the ability to multitask.
