Medical Receptionist

Hillcrest Vision seeking an experienced Optometry Receptionist to join our team for our new location coming soon to Mocksville! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate personnel
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Verify patient insurance and collect copayments
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly
• Maintain patient records and ensure their confidentiality
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about our services
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience working in a medical office or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in using computers and electronic health records
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
