Medical Receptionist duties will include:
-Answer phones, direct communication flow and handle messages
-Schedule patients and verify insurance
-Greet patients and visitors and assist with patient registration, check-in, check-out patients
-Assemble patient charts and add required documents
-File charts when complete and maintain charting system
-Assist Billing Coordinator with patient insurance and demographic information
-Ordering of office supplies for the front office and waiting room
-Maintain coffee cart in waiting room
-Other office duties such as emailing, filing, scanning and faxing
-Assist when necessary with cleaning of the clinic, such as vacuuming, dusting, garbages, bathrooms etc.
-Must follow OSHA and HIPPA rules
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
