Ultrasona, a women/veteran family-owned business that has been operating for almost 20 years, is seeking a friendly, organized, and flexible Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist at Ultrasona, you will play a key role in our mission to provide excellent customer/patient care, while also ensuring privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. You will greet patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, handle inquiries, and perform basic daily cleaning tasks as required. We are open 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm, and each person works a fair rotation of evening and weekend hours. You will work in a close-knit team with other sonographers, receptionists, and stakeholders, and report to a hands-on management team that is always available to address any concerns. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments.
- Collect payments from patients as necessary.
- Manage patient and provider inquiries, addressing concerns and referring to appropriate staff as necessary.
- Draw blood from patients as needed (phlebotomy skill is a plus).
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized office.
- Perform basic daily cleaning tasks as required.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PACS/DICOM image storage.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with additional administrative or marketing tasks as needed, such as filing, data entry, social media marketing, customer service issues, etc.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college education is preferred.
- Prior experience as a medical office receptionist or in an ultrasound field is preferred.
- Phlebotomy skill is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in basic and intermediate computer skills and software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of HIPAA laws and patient privacy regulations.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work evening and weekend hours.

Ability to commute/relocate:
