Our ophthalmology practice is looking for a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team for two 10-hours shifts/weekly (Tuesday/Thursday). The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, answering phones and documentation in our EHR. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong knowledge of ophthalmology. We are looking for someone who is organized and detail-oriented to help ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule appointments for patients.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Collect patient payments and process credit card transactions.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide assistance to ophthalmologist as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
