ScholarRx® is a mission-driven organization that develops high-quality digital curricular and assessment resources for medical schools and students worldwide. The curriculum team is seeking a Medical Question writer to join our curriculum team in creating high-quality questions for our Question Banks. Physicians with strong experience in medical education, preferably with educational leadership in an undergraduate medical setting are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with NBME, NBOME, or similar style multiple choice questions is strongly desired. The schedule is flexible for this remote position. This part-time position will report to the Senior Director of Curriculum. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Design and author NBME-style questions.
Collaborate with specialist physicians to develop questions from content outlines.
Review and edit existing questions to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant.
Work with the Senior Director of Curriculum and editorial team to assess question performance based on statistical analysis and user feedback.
Recruit, train, assess, and supervise contracted clinical and basic science faculty on their question writing.
Requirements:
M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
At least 5 years of experience in medical writing, editing, or teaching
Broad experience in teaching a variety of medical educations subjects
Excellent command of English language
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and general comfort with online technology
Familiarity with NBME question formats (NBME training preferred)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Passionate about medical education and lifelong learning
