Medical Office Assistant

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will perform administrative duties under the direction of the provider and Chief Nursing Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Check provider voicemails and transcribe messages into the EMR
• Answer patient inquiries through the patient portal
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Complete insurance prior authorizations (paper and electronic)
• Complete disability and FMLA paperwork
• Coordinate durable medical equipment orders
• Schedule patient appointments with specialty offices or imaging centers
• Notify patients of test results
• Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and filing
• Route messages or documents to appropriate staff or patients
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior Medical Office experience is preferred but not required

In-office, flexible schedule available M-F
