Location and hours:
This position is located at 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Work hours for this position will vary based on clinic hours between 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and some Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In this position, you will:
- Perform analytical testing.
- Process and collect specimens.
- Completes orders, enter, and verify results; document all written data, files, sort paperwork, and complete other clerical functions to ensure accurate test ordering and reporting of patient results.
- Perform instrument maintenance: Routine, preventative, and troubleshooting; Consult with technical support as required.
- Comply with safety regulations, infection control policies, and work rules.
- Perform quality control and calibration, supply monitoring, and proficiency testing.
Need to have:
- One of the following:
- An Associate's degree or higher as a Medical Laboratory Technician from an accredited program.
- Completion of a comprehensive military laboratory science program.
- Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology) or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) through written examination. Must complete certification within one year of hire.
Nice to have:
- Experience:
- As a Medical Laboratory Technician in a clinic or hospital setting.
- With phlebotomy.
- Using EPIC and LIS applications.
- Knowledge of:
- Basic laboratory techniques, specimen collection, and quality control.
- Laboratory equipment, routine laboratory record keeping, and safety practices.
- The theory and principles of laboratory testing.
- Ability to:
- Communicate effectively with others in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Organize work based on test priority and efficiency.
- Work under stress, provide customer service and promote teamwork.
