EDUCATION
- High school diploma, or GED required
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Strong communication (ability to speak, read and write (legibly) in English) and leadership skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer, mathematical and troubleshooting skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be willing to work 40 hours (Mon -Thu) with additional weekday, weekend, and holiday overtime as the need arises
- Vision requirements for this position: Near Vision Acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Can meet the physical requirements of the role (including lifting, standing, working in refrigerated and frozen environments, and able to wear respirators)
- Able to work independently or as a part of a team in the completion of assigned tasks, occasionally without constant supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Performs all room start-up and close-out activities (including: assigning tasks, staging materials, ensures equipment is set-up, demonstrating process/training team, & reconciliation).
- Assists in all phases of manufacturing (performs all packaging and labelling activities as a needed).
- Explains the efficiency expectations and monitors performance to ensure output requirements are understood and met. Reports any delays and/or disciplinary issues to Management.
- Works with the supervisor to ensure that work is completed on time (schedule/commitments are attained).
- Covers multiple rooms, if required, based upon coverage situation.
- Assists with deviation investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensures SOP’s and GMP’s are followed and team remains in compliance (including: cleaning, documentation, inspections, inventory transactions, & PPE/safety compliance).
- Actively identifies and takes action on continuous improvement opportunities
- Demonstrates and drives the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation (The Four I’s).
