Contract Administrator

The Opportunity:

Gravitas Ventures is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator/Legal Delivery Coordinator. This role will provide contract, administrative, and other support to the operational legal and business affairs team. The ideal candidate has prior media expertise in rights licensing, implementing legal systems and processes in a business with multiple business lines.

Key responsibilities include:

Assist operations department in reviewing legal deliverables such as music cue sheets,

insurance documents, chain of title, clearance reports, copyright reports, and other

contracts

- Track, review and organize a high volume of legal documentation

- Work closely with external licensors to ensure materials are successfully delivered to

Gravitas

- Assist in contract management workflows and communication across departments

- Oversee updates to legal delivery schedules based on business needs

- Facilitate effective and efficient delivery of legal deliverables to partners

- Track review, and vet legal delivery documents in acquisition and sales agreements to

ensure contractual compliance

- Assist in drafting agreements and amendments

Qualifications:

1-3 years production and/or business legal affairs experience

- Prior experience with legal delivery;

- Experience with E&O and Chain of Title along with music cue sheets

- Must have a thorough understanding of delivery, and have expertise in reading and

analyzing contracts

- Familiarity with rights, clearances, and other issues in the acquisition, sales, and

licensing of content

- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, think practically and be

solution-oriented

- Strong organizational skills and attention to details

- Self-motivated individual who works efficiently, takes pride in their work, and is attentive to detail.

- Paralegal diploma preferred. Demonstrated experience may be substituted for educational requirement.

- Media experience, especially in content licensing, is a strong asset.

- Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.
