Miami Kidney Group is seeking an experienced and dedication Insurance Verification Specialist to join our fast-paced Nephrology practice. We value professionals who provide the utmost courtesy, respect, and customer service to ensure a positive patient journey.
Full-Time, on-site work required
Responsibilities
- Obtain Insurance Verification on Athena, Availity and other payer sites as needed including Medicare, Medicaid.
- Contact patients and/or Primary Care physicians for patients whose insurance is terminated.
- Contact PCP and request Authorization/Referrals for our services
- Enter Referrals into Athena to track
- Contact patients and advise them of their responsibility prior to patients arrival at office.
- Determine if patient has a credit prior to patient chart being prepped.
- Create patients chart and print out front desk papers.
- Make changes to patients insurance as needed.
- Schedule N/P patient appointments.
- Schedule office and hospital visits as needed.
- Check medical records and follow up obtaining missing results prior to patients appointments
- Provide exceptional and consistent service to our patients.
- Bi-lingual Fluent spoken written English and Spanish
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 year's experience in a medical office
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in creative problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to empathize with patients requiring care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and approachable attitude
- Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, conveniently located near Sunset Place
