Medical Clerk/Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking full-time Medical Clerk to work as a Phone Operator at our site in Norristown, PA. We are looking for a candidate that can deliver compassionate care to patients by assisting with support services for clerical staff and providing direct positive interaction with patients and their caregivers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Screens incoming patient calls

Call patients to remind them of their appointments the next day

Answers questions from patients and forwards calls to the appropriate personnel

Calls in prescriptions to local pharmacies with the authorization of the provider

Sorts, scans, and electronically files paper documents in the patient's electronic health record

Sorts and distributes incoming mail/faxes for the providers and medical records staff

Translates for providers and patients, when applicable

Provides coverage for health center front desk clerical staff as requested

Completes other duties as requested by the Provider, Team Leader, or Health Center Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED

Bilingual in Spanish/English PREFERRED

Experience in a medical office setting PREFERRED
