SalaryOverview:
NovoClinical is an EMR looking to expand its billing team. Our coding and billing experts work within NovoClinical alongside other billing team members in order to offer exceptional end-to-end revenue management for our customers. This is a fully remote part-time position available to United States residents.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility.
- Assist with coding and claim processing as necessary.
- Review clinical documentation in order to ensure proper adherence to coding guidelines and national standards.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials.
- Carefully apply insurance payments and manage incoming remits and EOBs.
- Assist medical clinics and their patients with resolving insurance matters such as claim corrections and coordination of benefits.
- Communicate with medical clinics regarding insurance and billing information.
- Monitor clinic fee schedules to ensure proper reimbursement for in-network and out-of-network procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller and Medical Coder.
- Expertise in medical coding and billing for family practice, CCM preferred. Other specialties are welcome.
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, coding systems, and Medical Billing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective communication skills when communicating with patients, medical clinics, and insurance companies.
- Ability to work alongside a remote team of additional coders and billers.
- Proficiency in data entry and general computer systems.
