Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG codes to medical procedures and diagnoses
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing and coding
- Proficient in ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with insurance claim processing and reimbursement procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
