Medical Biller

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding, billing systems, and medical terminology. Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG) for billing purposes
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the billing system
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure proper documentation and coding practices
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9) and procedures
- Familiarity with medical office operations and terminology
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Types: Contract, Internship

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
