Medical Biller

Clear Path Pediatric Therapy LLC is a small, Speech Language Pathologist owned and operated private practice offering various services to children ages birth-21 across various settings including homes, daycares, preschools, local school districts, private schools, and cyber schools in Central PA. We are now hiring for our medical billing position, to help our company thrive to its fullest potential! This position is a fully REMOTE position. You may work from home, while creating your own schedule. Work may be completed on your own time, with no productivity requirements. In this role, job duties would include:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG codes to medical procedures and diagnoses
- Enter coded data into billing systems and verify accuracy of information
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any denials or discrepancies
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical coding preferred, but not required
- Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in using coding systems such as ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance claim submission
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
