ABS Kids is looking for remote Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will handle the process of tracking invoices and resolving accounts for our clients.
This position will have the added focus of a Patient Payment Advocate. As a Patient Payment Advocate, you will be responsible for assisting patients in understanding and navigating medical bills and insurance claims. The position involves reviewing medical invoices, verifying insurance coverage, negotiating payment plans, and resolving billing disputes on behalf of patients. You may also educate patients on their rights and available financial assistance programs. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as knowledge of medical billing practices and insurance regulations.

What would you do?
- Answering phones and handling billing questions.
- Monitoring accounts to identify outstanding balances.
- Working with all receivables with the clients and making sure the clients’ accounts are paid and posted properly.
- Medical Records processing and setting up the policy and procedures with new clients.
- Establish a working relationship between you and the client to be able to work together in collecting their payments in a timely manner and monitoring their accounts.
- Be able to work with excel, google sheets.
- Tracking of the accounts in a detailed manner.
- Take the initiative on working with accounts and creating relationships with the clients.
Who are we looking for?
- At least 1 year experience in medical billing or as a certified coder
- Data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask
- Have a high attention for detail
- Team player
