We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant/Front Office Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Assistant you will assist the physician with rooming patients, medical documentation and procedures. As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. This is a vital role as you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
We are looking for someone with medical assistant background that has excellent customer service skills and can also assist as a front desk associate as needed.
Duties:
- Patient intake
- medical documentation in our electronic medical records
- Assist with procedures such as skin biopsies and excisions
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Verify insurance information and process necessary paperwork
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dermatology is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
