Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care

- Interact with patients regarding scheduling, billing, prescription and referal management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience working in a fast pased medical office or clinic setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems (Athena preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Front desk scheduling and administrative operations in a clinical enviorment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
