Role and Primary Responsibilities:
????As a Medical Assistant at Reimagine Care, you will be an integral part of our 24/7 Virtual Care Center. In this role, you will provide Whole-Person Cancer Care to improve the patient and provider experience, improve quality, and reduce the total cost of care. In addition, working with a diverse clinical team comprised of nurses and advanced practice providers delivering care virtually and in the home, you will be responsible for the following:
- Use innovative workflows and technology platforms, including remote patient monitoring and a patient engagement platform, to engage, monitor, and manage patients in real-time.
- Provide meaningful patient and caregiver education to address patients’ needs in all facets of oncology care.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Virtual Care Center to follow all Reimagine Care policies, procedures, escalation pathways, and communication and documentation best practices.
- Initiate, engage, and work collaboratively with internal and external customers to build trusting relationships.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties and be courteous and friendly.
- Promote professional practice, a culture of safety, and a willingness to engage in process improvement to optimize patient care.
- Adhere to approved symptom management pathways and protocols to determine patients’ severity level, care pathway, and timeframe for evaluation.
- Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients.
- Assist Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Providers with triage and telehealth visits.
Education, Skills, and Experience:

- Medical Assistant Certification, required
- Experience:
- Previous virtual care and telehealth experience
- At least three to five years of oncology Medical Assistant experience
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish language proficiency in verbal and written communication).
